4th July is the 80th Birthday of Netball NSW. We will be celebrating this day with cakes and more cakes.

10th June 2009. Congratulations to our three Representative Teams who travelled to Illawarra last weekend for the Netball NSW State Championships.
Our U/17's and U/21's both came in 12th - a terrific effort. Our Opens team came in 5th - losing only three games over the weekend - by a grand total of 5 goals.
Each year, the 12 finest netballers from the Open and Over 35s divisions are selected as the Netball NSW State Championship President’s Twelve Team. Netball NSW selectors chose the 12 best performing netballers from across the state for season 2009 and we are thrilled to announce that Charlestown players, Amanda Cowburn, Rian O'Hara and Aime Ryan were named in the President's 12 Team.
Charlestown's Open team was the inaugural recipient of the Pat Weston Champions Cup. Awarded to the top ranked team (outside region 1) in the Open Championship Division, Charlestown finished the weekend in fifth place with 19 wins from their 23 games played.
Whilst their three losses were by a cumulative five goals to Penrith (2nd), Blacktown City (4th) and Randwick (3rd), Charlestown were always a threat in the Open Division, being the only team to defeat eventual state champions, Eastwood Ryde. Netball NSW and HOLDEN congratulate Charlestown on being the inaugural recipient of the Pat Weston Champions Cup.
The members of Charlestown Netball would like to send their congratulations and sincere thanks to all players, coaches, assistant coaches, managers, umpires, sports trainers and officials who spend many hours and hard work helping our players achieve these wonderful results.
